You're Not In Kansas Anymore
NFORMD.NET’s Campus Programs Division, Student Success™, recently introduced You’re Not in Kansas Anymore—the first comprehensive, interactive, video-based enhancement program for study abroad.
You’re Not In Kansas Anymore is a unique new suite of online tools that enhances every student’s experience abroad by expanding his or her intercultural outlook. Created in collaboration with leading study abroad experts, this comprehensive program empowers students to integrate studying abroad with their academic, personal, and professional lives. It also empowers study abroad professionals with unprecedented involvement in their students’ study abroad experiences.
Three key program elements include:
Online Video: Pre-departure video modules feature peer-led, scenario-based videos that cover pre-trip preparation, cultural integration, health and safety issues, reintegration upon return, and much more.
Continual Contact: Automatically generated in-country communications and assessment prompts reinforce video content and each student's individual goals.
Ongoing Assessment: Pre-travel, in-country, and post-travel assessments track student participation and progress at the individual level.
“NAFSA views the Student Success product as a valuable contribution to the field, ultimately helping U.S. students gain the global competencies and cross-cultural understanding they will need to succeed in a rapidly changing and globalized world.”
Marlene M. Johnson, Executive Director and CEO, NAFSA: Association of International Educators
