U.S. Army launches NFORMD.NET Sexual Assault Prevention Program for ROTC Cadets at over 1,000 universities.

Since September, thousands of ROTC Cadets at over 1,000 U.S. Universities have received customized online sexual assault prevention training. Created by NFORMD.NET in collaboration with the United States Army, the training videos feature general college-related information on sexual assault prevention and intervention. The training also includes Army-specific information regarding Army Values as they relate to sexual responsibility. Here’s a sampling of what Cadets have to say about the program:

“Overall the program is a great tool that should be used everywhere, not just for Army affiliated programs. It's a great way to learn about sexual assault/harassment and how to prevent it.”

“The program helped me to better understand why it is so important to be acting as an Army soldier at all times. It helped me to better protect myself against sexual predators.”
Female ROTC Cadet

“I know that I will take everything I learned from this program and change my behavior to keep not only myself, but also others around me safe from sexual assault.”
Female ROTC Cadet

“The program was excellent overall, and I would recommend it to any Army soldier. The skills taught here are invaluable, and are necessary for all.”

Campus Programs Division of NFORMD.NET launches Study Abroad Enhancement Program.

The Campus Programs Division of NFORMD.NET, Student Success, is pleased to announce the roll-out of its third curriculum for university audiences—a Study Abroad Enhancement Program entitled “You’re Not In Kansas Anymore.” This program prompts students to think differently about their time studying abroad, and guides them to make the most of it—academically, personally, and professionally.

“NAFSA believes in the value of bringing the preparation for study abroad into the digital age. We think that metrics are a useful tool to assess students’ experiences among many other ways to evaluate the impact of study abroad. You're Not in Kansas Anymore is an important new resource that helps students get the most out of their study abroad experience and it gives international educators new tools to measure the impact of their students’ experience.”
Marlene M. Johnson, Executive Director and CEO, NAFSA: Association of International Educators

Here’s a sampling of what students have to say about the program:

“I thought it was helpful to bring to light some of the issues that I had not thought about before, such as the re-entry culture shock and how to handle it. I also did not think about the little things that make up a culture and how they can be misinterpreted. I also liked how it was broken up into sections, which made it easier to get through all of the material.”

“It got me even more excited to study abroad! It also helped me realize all the details I need to take into consideration before, during, and after my study abroad experience.”
Female Viewer, Study Abroad Preparation

This program helped me to realize how much I can get out of my study abroad if I put my mind to it. I think this is great for any students traveling, not just those studying abroad.
